Tries to dance through neutral zone and gets overpowered, coughing it up. This kid has wheels and offensive instinct but often gets overpowered and needs to find better ways to make his skills work for him.

Multiple times Parent was getting knocked around when attempting skilled plays that probably blew people away in lower levels. It’s easy to see why people were hyped on this kid, but he’s clearly not shown enough at the major junior level to maintain the early season spotlight he had for the 2019 draft. If he can figure out how and when to employ his evident skillset he could pop next year. At this point I’m not sure if he’s much higher than a late 1st/early 2nd but he’ll be one I keep a close eye on.

Haven't noticed Parent much in the game, but in the third period he's flying throughout the offensive zone, works his way to the net, finds a puck, spins and plants it to the tie the game. Speedy, hard-effort shift catches my attention, then he scored!
