The best player on the ice during the game. Smart, strong player with the puck on his stick and made consistently correct reads throughout the game. His work in puck possession makes him trouble for defenders down low in the offensive zone on the cycle, but also as he curls off of the boards with his head up for a passing opportunity or a shot. Responsible in his own end and disruptive in the neutral zone. He played the game on the same line with Danault, and the two were pushing play all through the game. A good skater with more strength than pure agility, yet he doesn't lack in quickness. McNeil didn't look like a top-line forward, but he could easily be a middle-six player with offensive upside and a player that could be counted on in any situation on the ice. Although nothing is ever certain, McNeil looks like an NHL player.
