Leads a 2-on-1, and when his shot goes just wide and the opponents recover the puck, he is the first person back in the defensive zone. In a game with a lot of top 2017 prospects, Svechnikov is the most dangerous and best player on the ice, period.

Simply an excellent player who takes advantage of every small opportunity presented to him on the ice. In a tournament where his ice time was limited by coaching who decided to play older players more often and having just recently returned to the ice after missing 6 weeks or so with a broken hand, Svechnikov still managed a point-per-game production and looked consistently threatening on every shift. Simply no denying that Svechnikov is extremely talented, with size and tremendous work ethic at both ends of the ice. Drives the net, makes strong and dexterous plays that not many players can make. A couple of coachable flaws like forcing passes when unnecessary, but the creativity, skillset and forceful play are off the charts. Elite talent in a big frame.

Not a lot more to say about Svechnikov. Big, high iq, excellent hands and tremendous puck possession player. I liked that he was not forcing passes in this game, and instead playing inside the flow of the game. Svechnikov is a natural talent who would be first overall in the 2018 draft if not for the brilliance that is Dahlin.
