As long as he's moving, his mobility is okay as far as getting good dig on his edges, gliding to spots, staying in open spaces. When he's at a stand still, it's hard for him to get going, and he ends up just reaching for plays with his stick instead of moving to them.

There are things to like in the fourth-year senior's game. He has a sturdy frame at 6'0, 201 pounds and good offensive instincts for choosing between passing and shooting and finding open spots in the offensive zone. He has a good scoring drive, too, so he's always looking to make a play. However, his skating is below average when he's flatfooted, and that limited his effectiveness at several moments in the game. As noted, on the move he's capable of getting around the ice well on his skates, and has a fairly powerful stride at speed. I am concerned, however, that his lack of initial footspeed will be a massive limiting factor as he progresses into professional play next year.
