Cormier was active and engaged throughout the entire game. His skating was stellar, and he was elusive with the puck. He had good awareness in his end, making several good reads to break up plays. He had a couple of good, hard shots from outside, and more than once changed the pace of his shot to give the net-front guys a chance for a deflection. He plays a smart game, and although he needs some polishing to smooth out some risk-taking, he looks like a certain NHL player and a potential desirable powerplay blueliner.
