Andersson has been a mainstay on HV71’s third line and been a contributor to the teams success. Overall, points aren’t coming as hoped but the youngster has not looked out of place or intimidated by the level of competition in the top Swedish league. Andersson has decent height at 5’11 but is very well built at nearly 200 pounds and uses the size well. He can float a bit defensively, but keeps his feet moving in the offensive zone and while not an explosive skater, it isn’t a knock either. Has the work ethic, defensive awareness and skill to package nicely as a second line center in the NHL if his development stays the course. Currently projects as a player in the top half of the first round.
