Easy to see why Foote is considered a top prospect in the 2017 Draft. Already physically developed, he is the latest to come out of the Kelowna Rockets defenseman factory. Decisions were good with and without the puck, skating is above average, defensive game beyond his years. First round talent with zero doubt.

Foote is the only 2017 left for Team Canada and it’s easy to see why. Against Marner’s bag of tricks stayed calm and well positioned, then a smart poke check to thwart Marner, takes the puck around the net, and bulls through the small winger and carries the puck up ice.

Skates and pivots well at his size, and gets to the right spot in his own end. Strong on his feet. Engages in the offense but does not dazzle in any respect of the game. Good tools, though.
