Peterka, behind the puck, has to lunge forward to poke to puck up ice and try just to clear the zone. The puck is eventually controlled by the opponents, mostly because Reichel just left the puck. | John Peterka | Summary | Peterka is a sneaky-fast skater who doesn't look like he's going but then he's beating guys to the puck. He plays hard in all three zone with solid, fundamental effort. He'll keep his stick in lanes, keep oriented to the puck, and in the offensive zone he tends to stay in the high-danger area. He is unlikely to beat teams from outside the dots, but has enough size and his hands are quick enough to be able to generate offense in close in traffic. Plays a basic, pro-style game without anything overly fancy or creative.
