Luke Prokop | Note | Tall, looks thin but he's not (6'4, 219 pounds is not thin). | Brian Fogarty | Red Deer vs Calgary (WHL) | Video (With Replay) | 2/1/2020 |
Luke Prokop | Note | Skates tremendously well for a young guy with his kind of height. Edges, pivots are fluid, speed is quality. Lateral moves are effortless and efficient. Good balance, too, another good trait for someone that tall. | Brian Fogarty | Red Deer vs Calgary (WHL) | Video (With Replay) | 2/1/2020 |
Luke Prokop | Note | When he has the puck in his zone he's scanning the ice for options, and he typically picks out the right one and completes the breakout pass. | Brian Fogarty | Red Deer vs Calgary (WHL) | Video (With Replay) | 2/1/2020 |
Luke Prokop | Note | Slapshot on net with good power. Not a booming shot but decent. | Brian Fogarty | Red Deer vs Calgary (WHL) | Video (With Replay) | 2/1/2020 |
Luke Prokop | Note | Does well to get back to stop a partial breakaway and calmly pokes the puck off the attacker's stick from the side. Good, clean play. | Brian Fogarty | Red Deer vs Calgary (WHL) | Video (With Replay) | 2/1/2020 |
Luke Prokop | Note | Takes a big hit to protect the puck in his own end. | Brian Fogarty | Red Deer vs Calgary (WHL) | Video (With Replay) | 2/1/2020 |
Luke Prokop | Note | Big long strides cover distance with ease. | Brian Fogarty | Red Deer vs Calgary (WHL) | Video (With Replay) | 2/1/2020 |
Luke Prokop | Summary | Great size at 6'4, 218 pounds, and is an excellent skater for a young player as big as he is. Plays a smart and composed defensive game in his end, and uses his size and mobility well to force plays to the boards, pin players behind the net, or with the puck, make safe plays under pressure. At this point, he does not pose much of a threat at the offensive end, despite his quality passing ability. He slings his wrist shot more than he snaps it, and his slap shot has some power but not enough to intimidate goaltenders at this point. He seems like a well-rounded player, so if the offensive develops, he could work his way onto an NHL roster. Especially with his size and skating. | Brian Fogarty | Red Deer vs Calgary (WHL) | Video (With Replay) | 2/1/2020 |
