Landon McCallum | Note | Wins the puck in front of his net, passes out and then good speed up ice, heads to the net and taps in a juicy rebound for an easy goal. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Landon McCallum | Note | He's a 9/5/2003 birthdate, so this is almost his D-2 year, but for all of 11 days. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Landon McCallum | Note | Back deep in his zone, he's communicating, taking good positions to defend and then, after his team gets the puck, he takes a great angle to open a passing lane and allow the breakout. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Landon McCallum | Note | Decent-looking mechanics but he needs more leg strength to build speed, and needs to get his feet back beneath him more quickly | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Landon McCallum | Note | Hockey sense looks good at both ends. He looks like he's poised to jump up ice, but he's smart defensively and stays in position. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Landon McCallum | Summary | McCallum looked more like a draft-year player than one who has just turned 16. Sudbury selected him 15th-overall in the OHL draft, and it's easy to see why. He can skate, he looks like a leader on the ice, and plays a high-iq game in both ends. For a young player, his defensive awareness and commitment were obvious. What's more, he did look at all like a player taking shortcuts. Everything was intentional and his game sense is excellent. I like this player a lot. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
