Quinton Byfield | Note | Lovely sequence from Byfield: gets a puck in tight quarters, makes a patient, effective pass and takes off. Gets the puck back, freezes the goaltender, then passes far post for a tap-in goal. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Quinton Byfield | Note | Big and strong with the puck. Maybe not the most dazzling puckhandler, but he has skill enough to make opponents look bad trying to stop him. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |

Quinton Byfield | Note | Causing all types of problems for the defense. He can power past, so they back off. With time, his shot is dangerous, so they block the lane. But then he has vision and sharp passing at angles, so that's a good option, too. What do you defend? | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Quinton Byfield | Note | Out killing penalties while up 4-1, and working hard, mucking behind the net. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Quinton Byfield | Note | Speed is probably very good at best (1.5) but he's a good skater, more fluid than dynamic. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |

Quinton Byfield | Note | Just snapped a defender off at the ankles with deft, fast stickwork. He has a long reach and fast hands, so he can pull the puck back from a long way out. Nice move. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Quinton Byfield | Note | His speed will improve. It's good now, but will get better, | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Quinton Byfield | Note | Out again killing penalties, intercepts, kicks the puck up ice then chases it down. When the defending player tries to cut off his lane to the net, Byfield pulls up, threads a pass to the trailer for the shorthanded goal. Beautiful effort from Byfield. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
Quinton Byfield | Summary | Byfield has proved more than capable in the competition for the #2 2019 draft spot behind Lafreniere. He has excellent size (6'4, 214) and good skating ability that looks like it will improve with more power skating training. He shows amazing wrist and hand strength, snapping passes and shots with little visible effort and great deception because of it, and he has the vision and awareness to make really good reads and pick out options. He kills penalties, plays solid defense and is a disrupter in the neutral zone. He has all the tools. | Brian Fogarty | Sudbury vs Saginaw (OHL) | Video (With Replay) | 10/26/2019 |
