Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller with a good read and chip up to the forward to clear the zone on the PK | Zachary DeVine | San Jose vs Stockton (AHL) | Live | 10/15/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller is playing rushed again early. His best games are when he is more confident holding the puck. | Zachary DeVine | Iowa vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 3/19/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller with a good read to intercept the puck, but lofts in cross corner when pressured. Needs to create. | Zachary DeVine | Ontario vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 3/16/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller getting feisty with a Reign player for an extra whack at Rumpel. Always love a bit of sand coming from Mueller. I think he plays better when it’s in his game, but it waxes and wanes quite a bit. | Zachary DeVine | Ontario vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 3/16/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | A bit of panic is back in Mueller’s game when handling the puck. | Zachary DeVine | Ontario vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 3/16/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller almost goes coast to coast. Comes down the off wing and goes inside out on the Reign defender to draw a penalty. Flashes of real brilliance. | Zachary DeVine | Ontario vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 3/16/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Summary | Mueller has had good moments keeping the puck in the offensive zone, but more pokes and chips than puck possession and getting it to a teammate. Consistency is going to be the issue and he needs to level out the peaks and valleys in his game. | Zachary DeVine | Ontario vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 3/16/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller drove the net with authority and the crashing forwards got three whacks at the puck. Good play by Mueller and smart | Zachary DeVine | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 1/18/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Summary | Mueller was largely invisible for the first two periods before activating in the third. Long-term development is underway, has to play with more authority and his passive play and soft passes and reads are not helping a weak defensive core. | Zachary DeVine | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 1/18/2016 |
Mirco Mueller | Summary | Mirco Mueller with a number of ill-advised handcuffing pass to his partner. Area of concern as this keeps happening game in and game out. His skating will only carry him so far, his vision on the breakout is lacking and needs a great amount of development. | Zachary DeVine | Charlotte vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 12/29/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller out for second time on the PK, matched with Stollery | Zachary DeVine | Stockton vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 12/20/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller needs to take the puck around the net with authority. Too often he banks it to his partner in a questionable situation, handcuffing him. | Zachary DeVine | Stockton vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 12/20/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Mueller does it again and handcuffs Cundari with a reverse behind the net. Looks scared to carry the puck. With his skating he NEEDS to be carrying the puck. | Zachary DeVine | Stockton vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 12/20/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Summary | The same issues continue to dog Mirco Mueller. His decision making was below his already low standards. Handcuffing his defensive partner repeatedly with the same play where attacking forwards have the book on him. | Zachary DeVine | Stockton vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 12/20/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | On the powerplay, the puck was sent deep into his own zone. When Dell (Bakersfield G) left the puck off, Mueller failed to get back to support his teammate and a turnover to the forechecker led directly to a wrap-around goal while Mueller stood in the slot watching the play. | Brian Fogarty | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Video (With Replay) | 11/8/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Has the skills, but zero creativity. | Brian Fogarty | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Video (With Replay) | 11/8/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Summary | Mueller displayed good defensive positioning at time, and there were shifts during the game during which his selection at 18th overall in the 2013 draft seemed warranted. However, far more often he disappeared, especially in the offensive zone. Mueller's lack of creativity left him pushing soft-touched but deliberate, telegraphed passes to his line mates. He never seemed to drive play at all, and that is worrisome for a player who spent significant time in the NHL last season. Mueller is not yet 21 years of age, so there is a chance he can develop his defensive play enough to get back to the NHL, but his offense will not get him there. | Brian Fogarty | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Video (With Replay) | 11/8/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Summary | Mueller has taken a step backwards this year. With 39 games in the NHL last year and looking inexperienced but not completely out of place, this year in the AHL he has two speeds: panicked, or lazy. Made a number of poor, uninspired plays, one of which he turned over the puck then did little to challenge the puck thief, who promptly scored a shorthanded goal with Mueller simply watching. His already predictable plays become even more so after a mistake and other teams are keying on this. Has turned from a prospect to a project. | Zachary DeVine | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Live | 11/8/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Took a pass in the defensive zone during a line reset. Passed to his forward coming back towards him, but the better play was a D-to-D pass. Mueller's choice led to a turnover and a shot on goal against. Later in the period, in the same circumstances, Mueller went D-to-D. | Brian Fogarty | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Video (With Replay) | 11/8/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Nice touch on a stretch pass to the offensive-zone blue line. The shift eventually resulted in a goal, but Mueller's pass had little to do with it. | Brian Fogarty | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Video (With Replay) | 11/8/2015 |
Mirco Mueller | Note | Good shift early in the second period, with solid positioning, switches and smart reads that helped clear the defensive zone. | Brian Fogarty | Bakersfield vs San Jose (AHL) | Video (With Replay) | 11/8/2015 |
