Top Prospects: The Forwards - Spring 2023 Edition

The spring compilation of hockey's top forward prospects (forwards under 24 years of age with fewer than about 40 NHL games played) shows a broad shake-up of the rankings. More than 80 players have either graduated as full-time NHLers or aged off of the list. Among the graduated players are six of last fall's top ten, and several additional top 50 players. Matt Beniers, the top prospect on the previous list, is the current frontrunner for the NHL's Calder Trophy as the league's top rookie, and players like Matt Boldy, Mason McTavish and Kirill Marchenko are truly stamping their marks on the game's top league. Below is a quick snapshot of the graduated players who were among the top twenty forwards on the previous edition of The Forwards:
